When I was a kid I remember watching a lot of american movies and shows, such as "Friends", that were filmed in New York City. In my mind, this place was like another planet, where your dreams and hopes can become true and maybe my thoughts were not so far aways from reality.
This year I had the amazing opportunity to go to THE BIG APPLE! I was so excited that I wanted to know how it feels to be in the same places were many famous stars shot their films, eat some "famous" street hot-dogs, see the Empire State Building and so on!
When I got to NYC, the first thing I did with my sister was to buy a ticket for the Hop on Hop off bus (this is a bus that takes you to all the important places from NYC that you wanna know and you can hop off the bus whenever you want, and then you can hop on another bus from the same company to keep with your tour). While I was doing the tour I realized the variety of people that were visiting and living in this famous city, but what most caught my attention was to see all those people from different countries working so hard, in order to pursue their "american dream", just as I thought when I was a child :)
To make this story short, some places where I've been were: Madame Tussauds, Radio City (to watch Cirque Du Solei), Broadway (The Adam's Family), Time Square, Hershey's and M&M's store, Fifth ave. to buy some cloth, Empire State Building, Central Park and so many other places that I don't even remember :P
This whole experience of being in this incredible city called Manhattan, made me love even more the United States! LOL just joking. The main point that I wanted to emphasise was that New York City is not only just a place to visit but it is also a place to admire because is a city where you can consider it as a "mini world"where people can make their dreams come true, without worrying about where they came from.
