Self Perspective about the 9/11
As a teenager in highschool in Lima, Peru, I remember being in US history class when all of a sudden one of my classmates runs into the room crying out loud "turn on the TV!" It was very shocking to me to see how the twin towers were destroyed immediately by that American Airlines plane. At first I wasn't sure what was happening, I didn't even know about the twin towers were. I was not aware of the severity of it. As we kept watching the news throughout the day and the following days, I was horrified at the effects of this terrorist attack. My heart really sank for those damaged, trapped who's life were taken away instantly, and for their families and loved ones. It truly opened my eyes to the fact that this world has cruel and dangerous people that are capable of causing so much damage and terror. It really scared me to even fly for some time. 9/11 did not only affect the US, but the whole world too.
